K. Uzo Okoro, MD, FACC, FSCAI
K.Uzo Okoro M.D. graduated with his medical degree from Saint Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman Island in 2015. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and then completed both his General Cardiology Fellowship (2021) and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship (2022) at Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, WV.
Dr. Okoro joined Cardiovascular Consultants in 2022. He is board certified in IInterventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, Internal Medicine, Physician Vascular Interpretation, and Cardiovascular Diseases. His professional affiliations include American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and the Association of Black Cardiologists and the American Society of Echocardiography, Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
His special interests in cardiology include general cardiology, interventional cardiology and peripheral interventions. At Cardiovascular Consultants he appreciates the combination of specialists and lab specialists and the wide variety of skill sets each brings to providing the best cardiac care for patients. He also values the thoughtful, knowledgeable and compassionate care given to patients by each provider and staff of the practice.
Dr. Okoro’s enjoys biking, eating, traveling and playing ping pong during his free time.
