Roberto Camacho, MD, FACC
Dr. Robert Camacho earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL in 2012. He then moved on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Miami, FL in 2018. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2021. He also completed his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the same University in 2024 where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow.
Cardiovascular Consultants welcomed Dr. Camacho to the practice in 2026, and he has been practicing as a General Cardiologist since August 2024. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Camacho also holds a testamur in adult echocardiography through the American Society of Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
As Cardiovascular Disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, Dr. Camacho finds great purpose in helping patients understand, prevent, and manage heart disease through education and individualized care. His special interests in Cardiology include cardiovascular imaging, particularly echocardiography and cardiac CT, as well as evidence-based care.
Dr. Camacho believes that the physicians and staff at Cardiovascular Consultants are unified in their commitment to providing excellent care for patients. When Dr. Camacho is not in the clinic, he enjoys hiking, being outdoors, traveling, cooking (especially grilling and barbecue), and learning to play the guitar. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
